"The Coloring Book"

Learn not to stay inside,

The bold, black line.

Instead learn to reside,

In, one more fine.

The finer the line, the quicker it fades,

The faster the mind, the more that it shades.

And every space needs shading and filling,

And every hope needs killing,

And all of your blood is spilling,

Onto the crisp, white sheet,

And I can still feel the heat,

That rises off each drip.

This if not a picture, I must skip.

So, I’ll keep coloring to my own content,

And I’m coloring you so neatly,

Though, I’m not shading you completely.
