"Jungle Fever"

I have a high jungle fever.

It causes severe hallucinations. . .

Vines consume my eyes,

Flowers nip at my hair strands.

Insects borrow into my thighs,

Mists mimic my hands—

They are turning vibrant colors,

Each a secretive hue.

My fever worsens, my mouth is steaming,

I must be leaning on something heavy,

What is it?

Its not moving, it’s warm and furry.

What was that scurrying?

Something is hurrying

Over my exposed toes.

Something lands on my exposed nose.

I’ve some atrocious shakes. . .

My fever breaks.
